Feature: Sort instances by version #173

What do you want to see? A way to sort instances by the lemmy version they're running, from newest to oldest and from oldest to newest

Interesting, I'm just not sure how good this would be - since I don't display the version on the main list. What would be the use-case? Trying to find newly-updated instances?

There is this page which tracks version distribution: https://lemmyverse.net/inspect/versions

Have you considered other possibilities a feature where I allow you to filter based on instance version? (I could add the instance version to the tags)

I think sorting these alphabetically could work would just need to filter out the "unknown" versions first.

Also, if you wanted to find "new" instances, you can already sort by "Published" time: https://lemmyverse.net/?order=published
