Make default score template configurable

I use lilypond to produce leadsheets for jazz players, and have devised a blank 
template to generate three output files - one in concert pitch, one transposed 
for trumpet and one for alto sax.

It would be handy to be able to start with this blank template instead of the 
default.

Okay, in the short run, the template will be able to be set to a predefined 
text. In the long run, there will be a more advanced wizard similar to that of 
LilyPondTool.

Till then, you can configure quickly insertable templates under Preferences > 
LilyPond > Editor > Templates.

What I have in mind is a replacement for the default score.ly file, but that 
doesn't seem to be what's offered by Windows > LilyPond > Editor > Templates.

I thought I might be able to Import an existing .ly file, but it seems that the 
only file-type that can be imported is of .xml type.

Can you point me in the direction of some documentation of this feature?
