Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Nothing I've tried will double-click the remote mouse
2. Double-click is now mapped to right-click
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
0.4.0? (latest from market)
Android 2.0.1 (moto droid)

Please provide any additional information below.

See FAQ--

You can use the Dpad button or another input mode to double click the mouse.

A future version may provide the ability to turn off the mapping of double
click to right click.

I second the wish for a better way to perform a double click.
On my device ( a samsung galaxy tab ) is no pad and also no camera button. So I
have no way to double click, which is a pity since I'd realy like to.

"You can use the Dpad button or another input mode to double click the mouse."

This leaves a bit to be desired if the device in use is touchscreen only.

I'd like to see an option where I can set double tap is double click and tap
and hold is right click. Right now I have to change modes if I want to right
click, then change back to double click.

There's no way either to double click with a physical button using a Motorola
Defy.

I just wanted to file a similar point. I'm using android on my HTC HD2 and so I
have no DPad, CameraButton, TrackBall so right clicking and double clicking is
a bit difficult.
My suggestion would be (especially for Mouse Control Mode):
DoubleClick by double clicking ;-)
RightClick by holding down (like on Windows Mobile devices)
Drag by tap and hold and drag.
Desktop Paning by moving two fingers

Hope this makes sense and is possible to add into some future release.

Till then - androidVNC is realy great app - keep it up!!!

Thanks

(In my personal opinion) I'm not sure that the 'RMB emulation' method should be
tied to the display control mode - a user might want one without the other.

Do people agree with this, and if so how should it work?
