Started the frontend design of the Sign-Up page.
Added some basic stuff but the page is still barebones.
Will continue to develop
I believe the frontend of the Sign-up page is improving nicely. Please comment below any other extra suggestions or ideas.
@jasonbarberis I like the over all look but a couple of things to note:
<center>
it's deprecated, instead consider using a Grid based system or you can just apply d-flex justify-content-center
.Index.cshtml
you have a <style>
tag. A better approach is to add that CSS styling to an appropriately named .css
file for example carsharing/wwwroot/css/sign_in.css
. This way we don't bloat the View with things that don't count to the logic of our app, plus it will be easier to have all the styling in one place,body
HTML tag, consider creating a class instead. Styling HTML tags isn't always the best idea cause most of the time they are getting applied application wide. This means that the body
tag in another page might be affected by this change. Of course since you've added it here in a <style>
tag, it cannot affect other pages but you will move it in a .css
file that will be linked in the entire app. The class notation in CSS is very simple:
.bg-black{
background-color: black;
}
You just have to start with a .
and the name of the class. Also the name it should probably describe what it does (somewhat), for example if I see a class with the name margin-top
I can immediately tell that this class applies a margin
to the top of an element.
Lastly the page is not responsive, I'm guessing that you just haven't implemented it yet.
I suggest we use one of these as a background image for the sign up page.
You need to consider what fields to include and what not.
I will leave some references for inspiration of the UI part.
You will most certainly need to add more form fields than the ones depicted in the references.
