Installing on Magento Connect Wrong #11

When installing through magento connect the php page installs in: 
magento/app/code/local/  instead of magento/app/code/community/

I think this happened to me. However when I updated to 0.9.7 it moved it under
community so it may be fixed now.

This happen when i installed a fresh copy of 0.9.7...

The problem with the version 0.9.7 is that  Magento extension is saving in
magento/app/code/local/Smile_OpenERP_Synchro/openerp-synchro.php  but in the 
OpenERP
Magento package the link is always
magento/app/code/community/Smile_OpenERP_Synchro/openerp-synchro.php , to solve 
this
problem I copied Smile_OpenERP_Synchro/ to the "normal" directory , but the 
problem
is when I try to export categories or products I get the following msg errors 
from
OpenERP ('__init__() takes exactly 3 arguments (1 given)', <class 
'xmlrpclib.Fault'>, ())

In the Terminal I get :
*for products :

 File "/usr/lib/python2.5/xmlrpclib.py", line 787, in close
    raise Fault(**self._stack[0])
Fault: <Fault 620: 'Method "category_sync" does not exist'>

*for categories :
 File "/usr/lib/python2.5/xmlrpclib.py", line 787, in close
    raise Fault(**self._stack[0])
Fault: <Fault 620: 'Method "category_sync" does not exist'>

any one is having the same error?

Hi,

I fixed the problems by following these steps:
-uninstall the connector from OpenERP 
-delete magento_openerp_smile.zip 'cause while while uploading the package 
OpenERP
download an other version and that make confusions in OpenERP (it download
magento_openerp_smile-4.2.0.9.6.zip)
-rename magento_openerp_smile-0.9.7.zip to magento_openerp_smile.zip and 
copy/paste
it in /addons
-Unzip it then install it normaly 

that all ! good luck

Hi all,

I'm confirming the Magento extension gets installed in magento/app/code/local/ 
instead of magento/app/code/community/ which changed and sucks. I don't know 
why it's
like that. While investigating, I'll just add it to the FAQ. Then we might 
assume the
path is now magento/app/code/local/ but I'm still not sure we can assume that.

hi 
    i m installing module magento_openerp_synchro & able to synchronize categories &
product but while synchronizing import sale i got this error "Error, can't 
connect to
Magento OpenERP sale import PHP extension at http://69.10.62.18/magentosite/ !

you sure you installed it? Error: <ProtocolError for

403 Forbidden>"   & i also install Smile_OpenERP_Synchro-0.9.9 into
magentosite/community folder but still its giving problem
can anyone help me out?
