The pause text should always be displayed, along with the timer (countdown), and / or the "press space" message.
E.g.: right now, when my pause text is "Thank you for participating!" with a time of 0 seconds and the press space option ticked, the participant doesn't see my message conveying gratitude, but is just annoyed by the hold-up.
