Are you pausing via the lock screen, widget, or inside the app?

I am pressing the Play/Pause icon in the app. Also to note: the yellow icon stays in the left site of the status bar.
Something more: normally, when I stop the player and "exit" the app (e.g. hit "back" a few times), the yellow statusbar icon disappears. In the case that I am describing, the statusbar icon stayed there until I "force stopped" the app.
This is annoying me too. I'll try to get to it soon.
Can you take another look at this in version 4.5? I've changed how the player works.
It does not happen reliably, and I only listen one podcast a week (twit). I will be paying attention and report.
As reported as issue #111, I had an occurrence of statusbar icon staying when it should not be there, but 'top' did not show any abnormal activity on the part of the app or the media server. Just for the record.
Version 4.3 running on (preview) CM10 on HTC One X, but it happened in previous versions too.
When I pause playback and go about my business,
top
shows that Podax and mediaserver continue to consume a few % CPU, and apparently are keeping CPU from sleeping. Combined with the fact that there is no official way to "stop" the application, this is quite unfortunate. After I "Force quit" Podax from "Manage applications" this spurious activity stops. Please tell me if I should provide more information about the matter.
Thanks.
