Thank you for the feedback. However, actual example parameters are acceptable in sequence diagrams according to the textbook and AB3 DG.

In this instance, example parameters were used to show an example of a CheckCommand from start to finish. Severity reduced as use of actual example parameters does not reduce readability of the sequence diagram.
