"%lastname%" shown when the contact have no lastname #35

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Create a contact with just a firstname, no lastname
2. Launch icalbirthdays with alert/reminder contains %lastname%
3. Watch the alert/reminder

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

Would like to see this "Steve" when the contact have no lastname, and not
"Steve %lastname%". But would like to keep the lastname for the contacts who do
have one.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

Version : 2.0
OS : 10.6.4

Please provide any additional information below.

Globally, it would be great to keep the placeholders (firstname, lastname, age,
etc..) for creating the alarms/reminders, but must appears only if value is not
empty.

Replace "Steve" with "Dad" for better understanding needs

I agree. I have my mum listed as just 'Mum' in the firstname field, no surname
specified. Please support use of just firstname field.
