It'd be helpful if, after having found the mystery country, the distance to each incorrect guess was shown somewhere. That way a player can more directly get a feel for distances between countries and regions.
This could be a simple number behind each guess (in the flag list below the globe) or a line on the globe connecting the countries with a "great circle" section. The latter implementation is more educational, showing how the shortest route between countries might be over a pole, which is not always obvious when working with flat tradional projections.
