move log control API to gRPC protocol #205

Currently the text interface is implemented using gRPC. After some time using this protocol and its implementation we should have made enough experiences to qualify if we want to move all other API functionality to use gRPC. In case this is cool after some time, move it.

There is nothing like the log control feature anymore. It was not helpful as intended.
