Browsers (Firefox/Electron) go to 100% CPU for several minutes after unlocking

The time they spend spinning their wheels is proportional to the time spent locked: it's not noticeable for a few minutes of locking but is a couple of minutes for an overnight lock.

This issue happens every time I lock and started when I switched from xscreensaver to ligh-locker.

I can confirm I have this same issue on my machine, running Gentoo. I can also confirm that it doesn't occur with xscreensaver nor with cinnamon-screensaver.

I have similar problem, but even more things happen (described step by step and in order):

• The screen locks as intended
• My monitors are being forced off (this probably has something to do with power management, but I'm not experienced enough to toy with those kind of settings without a GUI) - this lasts up to 10 seconds (didn't actually count, but takes a long time) before I can see my login screen
• I can login as normal, but after logging in, my PC experiences stuttering due to overload of the PC (basically, all programs I had open are visibly slowed down, as if my CPU usage was at at least 90%)
• There's a possibility that currently active browser tabs go blank (using Ungoogled Chromium) and I can't even refresh them to fix it. Best fix to that is to restart the session or PC. Browser tabs can be closed (but it is very delayed till it closes) and re-opened so they work normally, but the overuse of PC requires restart (or maybe you can wait a few minutes - second certainly didn't help)
• Monitors are not re-set/turned on properly, and this requires a reset by Xrandr command or other program to adjust/set your monitor settings. I can tell this is happening because resetting the xrandr command makes my screens turn on and off as if I changed something. This does not happen at all when using Xfce's session and xflock.
