Should we check for the session to be "local" and not start light-locker for remote session? I wonder how lightdm is supposed to handle remove sessions.

Not sure it's really us who should check that or whether the person VNC-ing to a session should simply disable light-locker...

That's a general problem of remote session handling and e.g. may also happen to virtual machines. Can you use a special user for vnc and a script running after login to disable screen lockers and savers for the user session?
