This is outside the scope of SnappyMail as it does not know which contact to sync with which addressbook. The result would be that each entry in "contacts" will be added to "business" and vice versa.
I understand your point of view as contacts lists are external to SnappyMail. Could this be considered as a future feature? I am migrating from Horde/Imp/Turba where multiple address books are used throughtout. But of course the data sources are native to these applications.
Still: SnappyMail seems to be a great contender to replace Imp and definitively much better than the native NC Mail client. So Kudos for the great work! 👍🏼 /
Thanks for your compliments.
A plugin could partially solve what you want as SnappyMail supports multiple. When composing a message, SnappyMail can search addresses from multiple addressbooks.
This could be awesome. I’m also not able to get sync with the Nextcloud contacts. Is there any good setup guide?

Not really because SnappyMail can only sync with one address book
@patvdv @the-djmaze I use my Nextcloud Contacts App for my CardDAV. How do I configure the setting in snappy mail admin to use that ? See attached please because I may not be explaining it well.
Please help me
I think carddav support has to be discussed. In Nextcloud I cannot add a carddav server from an other domain. So how can I use the contacts from that other source for my snappy mail? With Rainloop this was possible. I have different carddav servers, with own contacts on each server.
Describe the bug It seems there is no support for multiple addressbooks as the app only supports one cardDAV URL in the Contacts settings. Each addressbook in NC uses a different cardDAV URL.
To Reproduce Set up the cardDAV integration with default URL:
https://{NC_URL}/remote.php/dav/addressbooks/users/{USER}/contacts/
Only the contacts from the default Contacts address book are synced. Not from for example a different address book:https://{NC_URL}/remote.php/dav/addressbooks/users/{USER}/business/
Expected behavior Synchronization of contacts in all or selected address books.
