If you drop or throw anything in COAL-BIN or DIAL-ROOM with a size less than 20, it gets buried in the coal.. See BURIED-IN-COAL, which is called from V-DROP and V-THROW.
But if you use the FWEEP spell in either of these rooms, your inventory is moved to the room, and not buried in the coal. See V-FWEEP. This seems a bit inconsistent.
Similarly, you can leave objects in the glass maze in rooms that have no floor by using a combination of IZYUK and FWEEP.
Those are the only two cases I can think of at the moment.
