You can wash the honey off your hand in some places:
>PUT HAND IN STREAM
The water is very cold.
At least you got that honey off your fingers.
This message is printed by EXIT-HONEY, which is called from TOUCH-CWATER and DO-WATER?.
TOUCH-CWATER is called in a couple of places when interacting with the cauldron and its contents, which DO-WATER? is called by HANDLE-MOUNTAIN-WATER? and STYX-F.
HANDLE-MOUNTAIN-WATER? is called by WATERFALL-F, POOL-F and STREAM-F.
(Now do you see why this game takes so long to test? :-)
But that means it's not called from:
LAGOON-F ("The tropical water feels warm.") Should probably not be done for every verb (e.g. "KICK WATER").
WET-AND-SLIPPERY (the soapy water). Should probably only be done if PRSO is the HANDS.
RESERVOIR-F ("You feel nothing but water.")
INTO-RESERVOIR
SPILL-MILL
Normally you would no longer hand the honey by the time you reach the reservoir, but it is possible.
So I think it would make sense to investigate these cases further to see if and when it would make sense to remove the honey. For instance, I don't think simply standing in the soapy water should remove the honey but actively putting your hand into the water should.
