Trying to "disenchant" an object usually prints no response. That's because the DISENCHANT action is usually not something the player types, but rather an action triggered by I-SPELL when a spell times out.
So maybe that's intention, though I thought such fake actions usually had names that you weren't likely to type accidentally, e.g. $CALL in The Witness.
