Removed some unused code and exports

Used ts-prune to:

• Remove unused code where appropriate*
• Remove exports where appropriate*

* I think I've been fairly discerning about what I've removed. I haven't removed all unused code, nor all unused exports. Just where I was fairly certain we weren't going to ever use the code again / ever need to import the ref
