welcome messages come from one of the team, in english. However they should come from a translator of the particular language

@nicHoch & @UFU608 I need your input to the welcome message. When somebody signs up to the website they get a personal message sent from one of theCrag team. The choice is random. It looks like this:

Welcome Peter, how can I help you?

Hi Peter,

Welcome to thecrag.com. I am one of the theCrag team and would be happy to help you get to know theCrag better.

I have been climbing since 1993 and co-founded thecrag.com in 1999 (these days I spend a lot more time working on the site than I do climbing!).

Click on the 'Index' or 'Map' to start exploring the index and logging your ascents.

Whether you're accessing theCrag through an app or on the website, your logbook, messages and everything else is stored and synced through theCrag online service.

This index is built collaboratively by climbers around the world. If you are able to add routes, descriptions, topos, etc for the crags you know well then please do!

Anyway I hope you enjoy theCrag and please let me know if you have any questions or feedback on how we can do things better.

It is a generic message except for a paragraph in the middle and the signoff. The paragraph in the middle in starts with the with words I have been ... in the example above. I need you both to write your own paragraph.

The general message will be available via translation package, but the personal message in the middle will be in the code. All four of us will be used for people signing up under the English langauge. Nicky & Ulf will be the only ones used for people signing up under the German language.

This means the German speakers need to supply their personal message in both English and German.

Please do this ASAP because I want you to be in the release.

Because one of the first things people will see is your avatar in a personal message your account should be public, you should have your regular name associated with it and you should be a sponsor.

Hi Simon,

here is my part:

I have been climbing and mountaineering since my childhood and joined theCrag.com http://thecrag.com/ team in 2016 to support business development and internationalisation. These days I mostly sport climb and boulder but also find time to do some alpine style climbs now and then.

Is that ok?

Ulf
