What happened?

Tried to change the node type from crag to region for Isla de Vieques but the UI don't display the checkboxes to change the node type.

Ideally also provide screenshots: grafik

What you expected:

I saw that for some node as well, but not consistently. Can someone highlight under which conditions the change is possible or not ?

I seem to be having the same issue. Even though I have "editor" permissions for the whole country (Poland), there are some nodes for which I cannot change area type, because the only one available is "Crag". https://www.thecrag.com/climbing/poland/area/3144452820 https://www.thecrag.com/climbing/poland/area/314462823 https://www.thecrag.com/climbing/poland/area/1527632223 (and some more)

Possibly this happens only at the level of country, I did not see it anywhere below, but I did not look very long for any counter-example. EDIT: This is wrong, as it also happens on lower levels. Interestingly this now happens to areas which I was able to change from "whatever" to "crag" but now cannot change from "crag" to anything else. https://www.thecrag.com/climbing/poland/area/1443043851

The first crag in the index heirarchy is known internally as the top level crag. It has significance in the system, so extra permissions are required.

This may be the case, as the "other" crags (at lower levers) which I could not change yesterday are editable today (possibly some kind of delay). So in case of such extra permissions required to change these areas, what would be the best approach in my case? Should I list the areas here (or somewhere else?) and ask you guys to change them, or maybe there's a chance for upgrading my permissions for Poland? (;

FreddieChopin commented 4 years ago

OK, Nicky has granted higher permissions to me and I can change these nodes now. Thanks!
