Not entirely true, but it does seem to have a very low priority
if you search Baume les Dames it isn't even on the list, but a lot of things with one of the individual words are.
If you drop the 'les' then it comes in at rank 5. Seems like it prioritises full matches of individual parts over partial matches of every word.
Easiest fix might be to treat hypens as whitespace.
Something comparable goes for single quotes: https://www.thecrag.com/climbing/belgium/area/2205019071 cannot be found when searching for "anticlinal", which is pretty bad because it is the most identifying word of the crag name.
Another search issue :
when you search for Gard (an area : https://www.thecrag.com/climbing/france/occitanie/area/1511457951), you only find it on the 23th result. I guess whole word searching doesn't get priority in the results.

No idea why I can't find "Saitama" while it is part of the name here: https://www.thecrag.com/climbing/japan/area/318070710
certainly the / character
When searching a crag with a dash in the name (for instance Baume-les-Dames) : https://www.thecrag.com/climbing/france/franche-comte-jura/area/1394723259
You can’t find it in the search results when typing « Baume les Dames » (without dash). You need to add the - (dash) to find it.
