I am completely guessing, but maybe there is a rule that if children are drawn then the parent is not. Please locate the final sub area in Valli Giudicarie. La Falesia Dimenticata:

There are 27 unlocated routes. My guess is that when this is located the 27 unlocated routes in Valli Giudicarie will disappear and the marker will not be shown. If this happens then this is configuration rules to do with when the area or sub areas are shown.
The border shows in index nav map view and in the locate map.

What happened?
This is a collection of observations regarding the lack of area boundaries in map view:
I’m struggling with assigning crags to higher level areas as their boundaries are not shown on the map.
I put an example here with this screenshot. It nicely shows the boundary for Valle del Sarca (https://www.thecrag.com/climbing/italy/arco) but on the same level is Valli Giudicarie (https://www.thecrag.com/climbing/italy/northern-italy/arco-trento-area/area/506976111) - see also arrow - but no boundary is shown for this one. It shows the boundary on the area page for it though.
Ideally also provide screenshots:
What you expected:
The boundaries to be shown for all areas of the same level at least, ideally radio buttons to define which levels are shown and which not.
