Cannot upload webp images #3837

What happened? Was trying to upload a .webp image. However, this is blocked.

Google Photos has apparently switched from offering to download files only as .webp instead of .png as it used to be. Usually the photos I upload into theCrag I get them from my Google Photos account, hence the problem.

Google Photos offers jpg again. Not an issue anymore.

I would like to re-open this issue.

Every now and then I come by .webp images. theCrag does not allow me to upload them.

I have to use the following workaround to be able to upload them.

  1. Simply change .webp extension of filename to .jpg
  2. Upload same file again.

Obviously, the workaround is quite simple and it's not a big deal. However, it's also a bit annoying - any maybe it's a simple fix on the part of the website.
