thecrag.com Hangdog doesn't count climbed meter on your profile #4207

Hello guys, there is an issue I believe on thecrag.com. As you log your climbs, it counts the total climbed meters climbed on your profile. Any type of climb will add meters except for the hangdog. That's not correct as I can climb 300m long route and have one take or fall, then I will log hangdog, but I still climbed 300m and it should be added to my total climbed meters. Thank you

Could this be implemented as two separate tallies? Clean metres climbed and total logged metres

That's an interesting option. Why not? I just think that the total "distance climbed" should be hangdog included.

... Failure is not an option ... ;-)

Since the bigstats show successful ascents it should also only count successful climbs into the total logged meters imho.

On the other side I think to log a whole mutlipitch ascent as hangdog when you dogged on single pitch is not the right way to do it. You could log the individual pitches (onsight, redpoint, dog, etc.) and tick the route with the general "tick".

The question of how many meters should be counted towards the total here remains.
