Feature request for Ride & Climb
My girlfriend and I are currently cycling through western europe with climbing equipment. It works surprisingly well, cycling some days, climbing some and sometimes both on one day. Thecrag is by far the best and easiest way to look for climbing spots, although here in the pyrenees quite some areas are missing (working on this^^)
Now my question would be whether it’s possible to add the OSMcycle map to the available maps, this would greatly help with route finding. That way, you literally see which crags are directly next to the cycleways.
And second, and maybe more complicated, would it be possible to load gpx tracks in the map window? This could improve the “approach” description, similar to CamptoCamp, if it could be uploaded permanently.
And third, really Ride&Climb specific, if it would be possible to upload a gpx temporarily, you could search for “closest” crags to the planned route. The cycleOSM map is good, but especially for reaching climbing areas, you leave existing designated cycleways.
Sorry for the long winded rambling, but I’ve been thinking about this for the past months, since we started cycling :)
