Add Strike

Strike is more a custodial app for sending / receiving money using Lightning as a settlement layer, so not really an exchange. As far as I know, they don't have a dashboard where you can exchange BTC for fiat or other crypto and vice versa. The 2-ways swap feature is what distinguishes an exchange from an onramp / offramp (1-way) crypto service.

It is an exchange because you can buy BTC with it. It doesn't have "other crypto" because it is a BTC-only exchange. You have already other BTC-only exchanges in your list, such as Bitaroo.

Can you keep fiat and trade BTC/AUD (or other fiat) as with Bitaroo?

Just adding my 2 sats here.

I live in the US. I use Strike frequently. Probably almost daily. I believe Strike is an exchange, and a Lightning one as well. I frequently do Lightning deposits to Strike, and on-chain withdrawals from Strike. I also buy bitcoin using fiat $ from a linked bank account. I don't believe I've ever sold bitcoin for fiat, and withdrawn that fiat, but I know a friend who has- I helped her do it (since that's what she wanted to do, and I'm only here to help- not to judge others' decisions). She said it worked.

So for those reasons, I do believe Strike should be considered a good exchange, and one that certainly supports Lightning as well.

I tried to go on X looking for a tweet from https://twitter.com/Strike/ for proof, but got distracted so many times by other stuff on there that I eventually gave up on trying. (sorry).

If they're not in your country yet, I believe it's only a matter of time- I know they've been rolling out to many other countries lately and Jack Mallers has said they are continuing to do so as quickly as possible.

Oh, also worth mentioning- Strike is 100% bitcoin-only.
