Agreed, I'm also not planning to do this for a living. But: Is CC-BY-SA suitable for hardware? What about an Open-Hardware-Licence e.g. Cern Licence?

I don't know anything about those licenses. I'll look into it. CC licenses apply to virually everything, I think.

The CERN OHL seems like a reasonable choice.

Agreed..

Since a visible mark on the PCB is required (i.e. on silkscreen layer), I think we should apply this when creating hardware version 0.3. See http://www.ohwr.org/attachments/2392/cern_ohl_v_1_2_howto.pdf.
