Is there any chance that it will be "embedded" so that the user can install a new platform?

These versions 1.3 that I found here do not work, ie they work the same only with older platforms.

thanks for answer

Let me know for which new platform you want to use this feature and if there is something missing for you.

Metropolis Launcher can handle its predefined platforms well, but a totally unknown platform may raise further issues.

They are mostly related to existing platforms that have already been written, but let's just say that I would like it to be totally custom for some names, for example "amstrad cpc 464 disk games" or "zx spectrum 48 demos" or or similar.

Thanks for clearing that up. Yes, you can use custom platforms for that (for now) and I think there is no better option yet.

In the future I will introduce a new filter / field: Release Type

This is because I really do want to support Demoscene releases alongside the games. And I think that this would also address your issue more elegantly:

Additionally I want to introduce pouet.net integration with Download functionality: have a list of the productions available on pouet.net, select ones you want to download, click "Download" and Metropolis Launcher downloads them and puts them in the correct categories.

For now, everything is working properly. Great program for this type of archiving.

The Demoscene is also more than welcome.

New platform

Would it be worth changing the title of this issue to something else, so that in search results it is easier to understand how the current issue differs from "Support for more Platforms" (#38, Aug 10, 2018)?
