Describe the bug Pulsemeeter leaks memory.

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

Start pulsemeeter
Check your system monitor for memory usage

Expected behavior Pulsemeeter will stay at a low and consistent memory usage

Distro: Pop!_OS 22.04 LTS x86_64
Python Version: Python 3.10.6
