Hi. This github repository looked really interesting. I just recently started using something called nowsms with my Samsung Galaxy A11 acting as the gsm modem. It allows you to send all sorts of text messages, including binary, wap push, etc. Don't really know how to use it or what all the functions do, but feel free to check it out if you dont want to pay for any extra hardware.

Thank you! Btw, a while ago, I had also found very similar software that you can run directly from a rooted Android device.

  1. Hushsms - For older Android versions but partially works on Android 9 or newer. It allows you do much of what nowsms can do.
  2. Hakistan sms toolkit - Like hushsms, but with very few features. I was able to send a class 0 sms (flash sms) from this app, something I could not do in hushsms.

I will keep doing more research to see what i can do to help.

Update: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=12361073

I don't believe iPhones are able to recieve wap push service load messages but somewhere on this page, a user was discussing that one of these messages could be sent, and at the time (2016), jailbreak the device and install spyware.
