Marker Territory Visibility #40

I'd like to suggest the ability to view the area of markers in the actual map, as shown in this picture πŸ‘‡ image

Currently, as of now, the markers are only shown as waypoints, which in public server can cause a headache as the number of them is just way too much for the eye, and in general it's just not very practical as well. Having the ability to view the area instead however would allow a much more clean and organized way of viewing towns cities or any other sort of area by simply viewing the map and not having your screen crowded with waypoints overlapping one another. I'm aware this might be a time-consuming job considering you'll have to implement your own rendering inside of Xaero's worldmap - so even though I'd very really like to, I'm not expecting this to be added in the very near future. I'm just asking you to at least add this feature to the roadmap.

If somehow this feature is already a thing (I've made a thorough check and didn't find anything that enables that), I'd at least like for an explanation on how to activate it. Thank you in advance, FoZy.

Thanks for the suggestion. However, I will probably not add such a big feature on top of xaero's map mods. This seems more like sth to suggest to xaero (adding area markings) For the future of this mod, I will mostly only do fixes to bugs and version updates (once xaero has updated...) If xaero ever adds the ability to add area markings, I can try to also sync areas from online maps. But for now, you can decrease the max waypoint distance for static markers to decrease the overlap.

I see. I mostly use the mod for the player location viewing and the AFK feature though. I mean even if were to decrease the max waypoint distance there are still a lot of structures at near proximity that will still stay displayed on screen, basically rendering this feature useless for me. That's why I wanted it to be displayed as area so that it would be more practical. Thank you for your time though, I appreciate it.
