Version 1.9 is not working in Sitecore 10.3 update 1 #77

Hi,

We have downloaded the Version 1.9 of 301 redirect module and installed in Sitecore 10.3 update 1. We have created a new redirect called Test1 and published to the web db.

We tried to browse the page, and it is not redirecting to the value specified in the redirect to item field.

Can you please let us know if this is compatible with the Sitecore version? or is there anyway we can fix this issue in latest version of Sitecore.

Thanks, Prasanna Kumar

Hi there Prasanna, and thanks for your interest in the module!

I recognize this will be frustrating; but unfortunately Sitecore have not granted me a license to test with and so.I cannot test any version of the module with any version of Sitecore.

That means you may need to determine the compatibility yourself. eg. by trying locally with a debugger attached, or adding debug logging to a build that goes to a non-production environment.

In terms of any fixes you do find, I'm happy to accept reviewable PRs which fix bugs - nothing too big, I need to be able to read the code and understand it - and I'll revert recent changes if others raise issues.

Despite not being terribly useful I do try and be responsive when I'm awake in Sydney! So please do let me know if there's anything else I can do to help. Apologies I can't help more.

Hi @thecadams,

Thanks for you quick response. This module is working locally. But unfortunately, not in DEV and UAT environments. I did the same changes whatever I have done in my local. But no luck.

Thanks, Prasanna Kumar

Is there something else installed in those environments that might be interfering with running the code in this module? Eg. something in the pipelines may be causing the code to be skipped over.

Maybe analytics, auth, anything that’d be added in those envs..
