The current structure of a full Ubuntu that goes and grabs some ready-to-go .deb files was chosen simply out of convenience and wanting to get up and running ASAP.
After some of the glaring bugs are fixed, I'm going to move over to the Alpine and build Grafana/InfluxDB from source.
