[BUG] Samsung Tab A / Android 11/WallPanel 0.9.5 Build 6 - App freezes requires reboot #300

Describe the bug Randomly, screen will not wake up from screen saver. Touching screen / power button have no effect. Have to reboot.

Saw this same issue with Fully Kiosk so decided to try WallPanel. See FK description of the issue with Android 10 here: https://www.fully-kiosk.com/en/#issues

I cannot reproduce, not sure what is causing this issue for you. It could be permissions with background tasks such as MQTT. The MQTT library we are using has issues on Android 10.

Have you tried the newest version?

Not yet, thanks for checking with me. I changed settings to keep the screen on all the time which, I assume will shorten the life of the screen over time, but it has been quite reliable since then. I have had a couple of times where I found the WallPanel app just quit and I had to restart it, but did not require a reboot.

The screen should be fine. Just run the built in screensaver or use Android Daydream screensaver if you have it. The application is designed to always run with the screen on or your system may kill background processes or WiFi connection.
