[BUG] Face dedection not working on FireHD8 2020 #336

Face dedection not working on FireHD8 2020 With activated face detection and test, the following error message shows up: "Missing appropriate libraries to process Face detection or Barcode reading. These features may not work on this device"

Device: FireHD8 with Google Play Services and playstore installed
Applicaiton version 0.9.5b9 installed from google playstore

same error on the hd 7.

And yes, I have GAPPs installed.

I am getting the same error message on my Fire HD 10 (gen 11). This repository post in this obsolete repository already explains possible root causes: https://github.com/WallPanel-Project/wallpanel-android/issues/69.

Updating Google Play Services did not help.
