Yepp, tested with many other mods that work. It does break.
Just confirming - disabled all other mods and yes, can't start :(

Same issue here. Found a few other mods we use that break the game in the exact same way too, if that helps at all. Any of these mods together or separately prevent the start button from working in game, and also make the characters not show up initially (have to switch characters).
