Really looking for this also. It's listed as Coming Soon on the Apps Script 
JDBC Overview page.

I'm hopeful that I could create an SSH tunnel to a remote MySQL database and 
then connect to it using SDC via localhost using Google Apps Script behind a 
spreadsheet.
