This society contains only Jewish liturgical music in Hebrew, from both Sephardic and Ashkenazi congregations (and probably there is a mix of Sephardic and Ashkenazi congregants within each congregation too). Meanwhile, the other GJB societies Ashkenazi New York Jews and Sephardic New York Jews contain folk musics from each of those groups.
I would suggest renaming this society something like "Mixed New York Jewish Liturgical" , because the main thing that differentiates it from the other New York Jewish societies is that it contains liturgical rather than folk music.
Currently, the society is assigned a dialect of Yiddish. I would assign the language bibl1238 (Biblical Hebrew).
