Can't find any original tape notes, but the song associated with this society was recorded at a National Folksingers Festival according to song metadata. So yes, it seems that Nanning is the recording location not the culture location, but there is no info about where the singer of this song came from. Society lat long is in Myanmar, as it should be. Should we change song lat long to society lat long and note "[Recorded in Nanning, Guangxi Province, China]"? Or leave as is? --Stella
Changed song lat-lon and location to Yunnan, China (based on tape notes, which I found, and which fits with society) followed by [Recorded in Nanning, Guangxi Province, China], and did this to all the other songs recorded at the National Folksingers Festival from societies outside Nanning (locations based on tape notes, or society location used if tape notes don't specify).
Kate's notes:
Should have location in Myanmar; instead, song lat lon are in China. Perhaps this is recording location? Need to consider whether song lat lon should be moved closer to language lat lon.
