On all browser, the font is different between production and stage.  Unless is 
determined to cause issues does not need to be addressed.

On Firefox 3.6 (not Chrome 8 or IE8 though )on Vista 64 stage site is visibly 
wider than production.  Unless is determined to cause issues does not need to 
be addressed.

This change does creates issues with IE8. Should we correct IE8 or revert to 
the production search box?

I'm not seeing issues with FF3.6...could this be an issue with caching?
