[Launch] Add Google Chrome browser to HTML handler #158

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What Plugin does this relate to? What version of the Plugin?
Launch (any version)

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Launch
2. Configure
3. HTML handler

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

Please add Google Chrome to the HTML handlers. There is currently a choice
among several browsers depending on platform. The Google Chrome browser should
be added to the list of commands on each platform (Mac, Windows, other) as
follows (executable name to invoke):

Mac: Chrome.app

Windows: chrome.exe

Linux/UNIX: chrome

Thanks!

What version of Editra are you using? On what operating system?
0.5.99 Windows 64-bit

Please provide any additional information below.

I know this can be added easily by the user but I suggest it be added to the
list on startup since Chrome is a cross-platform browser that is growing in
popularity.

The commands are completely configurable by the end user in the Launch
configuration dialog. I do really want to add more to the default setup than
there is already as they already need to edited on the users system in order to
specify the correct paths to the applications in most places already.

Browser of choice is really an end user's configuration option so closing as
WontFix
