Issue with the last generation of Android Auto and Car stream #115

Hi, the last version of Android Auto don't let you to choose in the settings menu "allow to install from unknown sources because it seems that this menu don t exist.When you touch multiple times "About" on the last version of Android auto you will see only: "Help and feedback" and "Send feedback" and in "Settings" i did not find any settings which let you to choose like before. In conclusion the Carstream will not work on the last version of Android Auto. Or if you know how it works please very kind to advice me.Thank you very much

Using LG G6 with newest version of the app and it will not allow the videos through.

Yeah, i figured it out. I had USB Debugging enabled on my phone. Once I disabled it under Developer options, I was able to access it without issue. Works great on my G6 and in my 2017 Mitsu Outlander. Wonderful Program. Now I just need to find an app to allow me to play the video files I have stored on my SD Card to keep my kids and wife entertained on trips

With Carstream you can watch local files. From favorites choose sd card. Favorites button is on the up right sideof bar with little squares. Or you can long press home button on up left on bar.

One other question that I have, is by logging into the Plex app through CarStream, does it use your data to watch the local videos? Or is it actually just playing them off the SD Card through the phone/Android Auto?
