Mouse pointer for scroll wheel touch Audi A3 #75

Thank you for the excellent work you are doing on this project. I have a 2017 Audi A3 with a “touch scroll wheel”, but no touchscreen. I can usually move from place to place by clicking the scroll wheel left or right, up or down (rather than turning it), but that is very cumbersome. (I don’t seem to be able to easily move through the items on the top menu no matter what I do). It is very difficult to navigate the app with that. It would be great if there were a way to use the scroll wheel as a mouse pointer.

When I take gear, reverse my audi a3 camera starts. My radio starts and youtube is closing, but I would like to have youtube played in background. Could you help me, please? Thanks a lot!

Youtube playback in background is not possible yet, it is not designed to work in background. Regarding using the scroll wheel, the problem is it is unidirectional. It can be used for horizontal movement or vertical, but cant do both simultaneously. Hence a mouse pointer idea might not work.

The most easy way out of this to have page specific behaviour. For e.g in youtube search results, have the scroll wheel move vertically. For the player, have it move horizontally etc. Its not a trivial solution and hence its not implemented by webview, need to figure out a better solution.

Hello Kiran, thank you for the answer. Hi,

I have the same problem on my Audi A4 2017. I use version 2.0. of the CarStream app. It's very hard to use the application without having a touchscreen. If I play a video in the CarStream app from the phone, the change is tot propageted in the app from MMI.

@Antibiotico80 did you find a solution?
