Doubt about the option of acceptance of the terms and conditions #4698

Hello, I wanted to ask if The Lounge comes by default with the checkbox option to accept the terms and conditions or does it have to be added to the code?

I have seen it in some webchat on internet but I do not know if the installation gives the option to put it and that is what I want to know.

In case it is not included, is the addition too complex?

We don't have terms and conditions, so there's no check box

Your instance can do whatever you want, there's no infra to add such a thing. Our demo just shows a patched login page for instance

Hello, thanks for the answer.

Yes, I didn't mean that The Lounge had terms, but if there was a feature for a user to put that option to add the terms to their own server. If there isn't, it's because the webchat I saw, they put it themselves with code. That is what I would like to add to my IRC server.

By the way, you are the creator of The Lounge right?

If so, I don't know if you are also a freelancer and for a certain price you would add that feature for my server.

one of the maintainers, not the creator.

No fee needed either, the feature itself sounds sensible and should not be too hard to add if you want to take a stab at it

Well, I would really appreciate it if you could add it to me. I'd like to put the webchat link where I saw it, but I don't know if it's considered advertising. Is it allowed here to put links to other pages?

Fine, thanks. Well, this is the website I'm talking about that has the check box: https://chat.ptnet.org/irc/#/connect

On that website, no user can access the chat until they accept the terms and conditions.

That is the option that I want to insert in my webchat.

if the option is added quickly, I would like to know if giving you the details of the VPS with access to the file, you could do it.
