It worked! My Book Essential 1TB with symwave SW6316 #98

A huge thank you to themaddoctor and everyone involved in this project! This initiative is truly life-saving!

I was desperately searching for a new Symwave SW6316 board, but it seems they have disappeared from the market. Fortunately, I came across this project, and it has been a game-changer.

As someone who had never used Linux before, it took me a fully day to learn a bit Linux before I start to do data recovery. Although Ubuntu 24.04 and Fedora didn't work for me—likely due to my limited Linux skills—I found success with the following setup:

Linux Environment: Deepin 20.9 Python Version 3.9 pip3 pycrypto 2.6.1

Hey, I need help please with w WD USB drive. I can prove ownership. Im really not like you guys a computer Geek.

The first thing you have to do is take the drive out of the enclosure, if it is a MyBook model. If it is a MyPassport model, then you can't.
