Hi Mike,
Thank you for the suggestion.
I guess I'm a little weary of adding something like this actually into the user options because the plugin currently doesn't have any frontend styling added, allowing it to just rely on however your theme styles lists in widgets. But with an avatar placed in there along with other little additions like this, you'd now be required to style it with CSS for it to look right.
I don't have it all that well documented yet, but currently the plugin does pull the avatars back already from Twitter API. So, if you're hooking in your own template function, you've got the URL's to the avatar images there you could output.
This is a feature request. Prior to tweepie, I could have a litte avatar of the twitter account appear next to each tweet. This was particularly helpful when using a twitter list instead of just the feed, because the list would show tweets from different people. The avatar made it easy to identify the account used to tweet. So my request would be to allow options to show the avatar as well as the name of the twitter account/name when configuring the tweepie settings.
Thanks. Mike
