Try searching for '織' using Yomichan search function. You won't find anything. Then try searching for 'おり' and then you will find the needed entry. The issue seems to be that the entry in the dictionary is saved as '織(り)' and not as '織' or '織り'. If you try search for ''織(り)'' you won't find it either. Effectively, this entry is unsearchable in certain circumstances.

https://vndb.org/v14265 (has NSFW images, but they should not be visible by default) has an example of this issue in a wild. Try to use Yomichan on the 'Original title' section.

I don't know if there are other words like this, I've just stumbled upon this by accident.

The issue is present in Firefox before and after a refresh and in Chrome.

Just tested, and you can't find it as '織り' either.

I don't have the raw dictionary to test right now but seems like your problem is with yomichan-import instead. It could be that you're using an unsupported version of the dictionary or that the parser just doesn't know what to do with parens.

(nevermind my earlier comment that i posted without completely reading the issue, deleted it)

Kenkyuusha format is super janky so the parser has some issues. I will investigate.

Just wanted to add this renders kenkyusha completely unusable. Many entries are not found by the dictionary, like 問う, for example.

It's a shame that Kenkyūsha isn't yet supported, since it's (in my evaluation) the best-quality Japanese→English dictionary by a large margin.

Closing as this is not a yomitan issue.
