Definition field in Anki template is not correctly populated

I created this issue labeled as "other" since I'm not sure if it's a bug or just caused by the way I've set things up. I'm using the jp-mining-note template and have Yomitan set up according to the Yomichan instructions on their website. When adding a word to my deck, the definition field will not include the definition of the word, instead it has consistently produced this result: As I've said I'm not sure what's causing this, so I'll export my settings and attach them here, as well some info about what I'm using.

I'm not familiar with custom handlebars, but everyone who uses aquafina handlebars gets told to use arbyste instead.

Closing as custom handlebars are not officially supported. You need to ask for support from the creators of the handlebars.
