Project Details

A Utility Payment Application.

How would you describe your project?

PayUtil will be a utility payment application that allow users to pay for utilities like water, electricity, cabletv, phone subscription etc. using their phone. Payment will be made using cryptocurrency TNBC and some other ones.

What problem does this project solve?

There are utility payment applications available already, either as standalone application, part of bank application or online payment application, but what most of these application lack is considering all customer and userbase as they do not allow users to pay or top up their application using cryptocurrency which is the main focus of the project. To enable users pay for utility using cryptocurrency without the need to convert to fiat before paying on the application.

Who is the target market?

Generally everyone is a target market, since almost everyone need to pay for one utility or another, our target is every user either they want to pay with crypto or fiat as we will support both options.

How will this project benefit the network and/or the community?

The project will allow the community member and crypto community in general to be able to pay for utility using cryptocurrency.

How is this project centered around thenewboston?

We will be using TNBC as the along with other cryptocurrency as the primary method for payment.

What is the estimated completion date for this project? (rough estimates are acceptable)

Milestone 1 - Minimum Viable Product (MVP) Details

Please include a detailed breakdown of the MVP including a list of all quantifiable objectives. Upon completion of the MVP, each objective will be reviewed by thenewboston team and once all objectives have been verified as completed, amount of coins will be negotiated.

Note that all future detailed milestone breakdowns will be written as a separate GitHub issue. Only the first milestone which is for MVP is included in this project proposal.

1 UI/UX Implementation Implementation of all basic UI/UX features
2 Acoount Creation/Login User should be able to create account and/or Login
3 Basic App Functions Top up with TNBC and be able to make payment for utility successfully (Users will be able to fund the app with TNBC and so they can get top-up minutes)

Approved the phone side of this project, on the condition that the MVP includes an onboarded business so that it's possible to top up your minutes with TNBC.
