You can add QR scanner option #43

Describe your suggested feature

Please add a small button to scan WhatsApp QR code because here every xerox shop has a QR to send a file for xerox

You can find QR on your profile also Go to settings of WhatsApp Then you can see the symbol of QR code for your profile

You can just make it read the qr code and then find the whatapp account

I'm still a bit reluctant to add this feature for a few reasons. To make it work I would have to add a QR code reader to the app (although it would be difficult, there are libraries that already do this) and for it to work I would have to add new permissions to the app. One of the initial principles of the app was to not have any special permissions... I'm still thinking about whether it's worth adding this.

Also, the QR code generated by WhatsApp is a simple URL that works as a deeplink to the app. Any camera app, nowadays, should be able to open this link.

I don't completely dismiss this idea, but I need to think more about whether it's worth it.
